Snowy: Treasure Hunter 3 is a sequel to a nice platform game in which you are Snowy, a cute mouse, who must collect all kinds of treasure. The rules and objectives are the same as in the previous games (and are somewhat similar to those of "Lode Runner"), but there are a few new enemies and items to collect.
The levels have all types of gems that you must collect in order to get to the next stage. But everything is not as easy as it looks. There are also all kinds of monsters who will try to stop you from completing your task. All the levels are full of different objects like ladders, different types of platforms, ropes, hidden treasures, covers and teleports that can be used to collect all the gems necessary to complete the level. You will find simple platforms (which you can dig using the tools you collect on your way), holes (which look like simple platforms, but you can fall through them), and fortified platforms (which can only be destroyed with a jackhammer). Throughout the different levels you will also find a series of bonuses and power-ups to destroy the platforms, trap monsters, tools, etc., that help you complete the levels more easily and fast.
The controls are really simple and they can be customized the way you want. You just use the arrow keys to move Snowy and climb platforms and ropes, and other keys to dig holes, jump, and do other things.
Graphics do not differ much from the previous games, but they are as attractive and detailed as before. The music is enchanting, featuring different tracks for different situations. All in all, if you played the previous games of the sequel you should definitely try Treasure Hunter 3. If not, you will surely find it very attractive and addictive. |
